Guys, I was so wrong about Grok @bot Yesterday I spent a few hours with it for my home service business because of your responses. Connected it to my phone system. Now it listens to every call and sends a summary to our slack channel. Tags the right people, adds to our to-do list (saved me $250 because I can downgrade my phone subscription) I connected it to Reddit and it’s scanning the site every day looking for people on my town’s r/channel who could be potential customers. Tags me when there’s a post I should see/engage with. Going to set up the same thing for other social media I told it my goals for the week, it went into Notion, added a new page, and created a to-list based on our conversation. Here's the logic it landed on, and honestly it's better than what most people do manually. A memecoin desk is not one job. It's six jobs happening in the same 90 seconds. A human doing all six at once is exactly how you end up in a rug at 3am. So it split them up and gave each one its own post on the island: → SCANNER – watches new mints all day. Age, liquidity, holder count. Most of them die within the hour and it says so out loud. → RUG CHECK – the agent that makes money by doing nothing. Contract, LP burned or not, mint authority, honeypot behaviour. One red flag and the pair never reaches you. → WHALE WATCH – reads the chain, not the chat. OK, I just got access to Grok Bot and I'm in love. 1. The fact that it runs on a virtual machine in the cloud is SUPER useful. I built a stock scanner on my computer that has been somewhat inefficient because my laptop isn't always connected to the internet, so the scanner isn't hadn't been getting enough live data regularly enough to maximize its potential. I told my @bot agent to run the script at set intervals during market hours, and then update my local copy with the data once I'm connected. Boom, problem solved. 2. I gave it a somewhat complicated bookkeeping task (the kind you procrastinate on until taxes are due because it's a pain in the ass). It involves downloading bank transactions from multiple institutions, inputting them and labeling them (sometimes with split data within one transaction), and reconciling accounts. My bookkeeper @bot figured out almost everything on its own from context, and asked me questions (as instructed) to clarify the rest. It did what would have been 2-3 hours of work for me in about 20 minutes (after a 25 minute setup). Without me needing to even be there. This is a game changer.

We've reached the end of our first week with @Grok @Bot and it came thru again in a BIG WAY. We spend a RIDICULOUS amount of money each month on health insurance that, quite frankly, sucks. Super high deductible and out-of-pocket max. It's horrible. So, I handed Carl a screenshot of our plan details and told him to have our Researcher bot analyze it, ask any follow-up questions needed, and find a better and cheaper insurance plan for upcoming renewal. Researcher asked me maybe 10 more questions and then came back with a plan that costs $494 less PER MONTH, reduces our deductible by 66% and our OOP max by 25% all while providing everything we need in an insurance plan. A Grok bot is the best assistant a trader can have. I built mine over a weekend, and it took over the part of the job I was always too slow or too tired to do properly. It reads while I sleep. Filings, feeds, order books, the same sources I'd open by hand, except it opens all of them at once and doesn't get bored halfway through. → it prices the thing itself, then compares its own number to what the market is asking → it shows me the gap and says in one line why the gap exists → it sizes the position against a cap I set once and it can't talk me out of → it writes the exit before the entry, so I never invent one mid-panic → it keeps the fill, the slippage and the fee on separate lines, because lumped together they hide each other → it reads its own losing tickets overnight and hands me a rewritten rule by morning. It's not a signal service and it never tells me what to buy. It hands me a case with the sources attached, and I say yes or no. That's the only part of trading I wanted to keep anyway. Where it actually makes me money is dumber than it sounds. It never skips the boring step. The boring step is where I used to lose. Setup took an evening. Create the chief of staff, hand the rest job titles the way you'd brief new hires, run one cycle on your screen while they watch, connect Telegram. It doesn't sleep, doesn't get bored, and has no opinion about last week. Which part of your own process would you hand over first?

Grok @bot just showed me how Hermes wins. i spent today building a small team inside Grok bot: a chief of staff, researcher, writer and engagement specialist. the UI is miles ahead. you can see who owns what, jump between conversations and follow work as one bot passes it to another. it feels like operating a team rather than configuring agents. then i watched the usage disappear. that is the opening for Hermes. Hermes can give different jobs to different models. use a frontier model where judgement matters, a cheaper model for routine work, or a local model running on your own hardware for bounded tasks. Grok bot has the better UI today. Hermes has the architecture for a team you can afford, control and keep improving without being trapped inside one model provider. if Hermes Desktop closes the UI gap, this stops being a niche tool for agent nerds. it becomes the product Grok bot users eventually ask for.

I want more control over configs and tools, I want a local machine that can run dashboards, I want to own the PC and understand where my data lives. Hermes makes much more sense to me. I had @grok @bot work while I slept and it is supposed to brief me at 8am. The downside there is no android grok bot app available yet 😞 So far it utilized 70% of the quota I won't make it past day 2. However, I did instruct it to have work pre-made in one night for the next 6 days. So, the work is ready and scheduled to push out.
