Expense Manager
xAI gives one Bot the expenses lane so receipts do not sit in Gmail
Based on a public example shared by @xai on X.
View original source ↗What they did
Official examples include an expenses specialist, plus an ops Bot that processes invoices received in Gmail and files the work in the tools finance already uses.
How it works
The Bot watches the inbox for receipts and invoices, extracts the facts, and updates a sheet or finance tool. You approve anything that looks like a payment.
Why it matters
This is unglamorous official work — which is the point. Grok Bot is sold as a teammate for jobs nobody wants to redo.
Why it's useful
Receipts age badly. A daily pass beats a month-end hunt through Gmail search.
Who should try it
- Founders
- Office managers
- Small finance teams
