Brief me every morning

A short readout of what changed overnight — only what maps to your priorities.

What this Grok Bot does

The Bot scans the channels you approve — Slack, calendar, meeting notes — and writes a morning brief: what's new, why it matters, and what needs a decision. Each item keeps a source link. It does not clean your inbox.

Who should use this?

Founders, operators, and anyone who wakes up already behind.

First prompt
Write this morning's brief from my approved Slack channels, calendar, and meeting notes since yesterday. Only include items that map to the priorities in this document. For each item: the source, why it matters, the proposed next step, and whether I owe a decision. Do not triage email, draft replies, send messages, or change meetings.

Paste into the chat as the first job. Do not let the Bot send or change anything until you approve.

Five Practical Bots

On 17 Aug 2026 Peter Yang (@petergyang) posted a tutorial: five useful Bots — an advisor that creates and manages the others, a YouTube researcher for outlier videos, an X scout for viral and funny posts, a “digital Marie Kondo” for inbox and leftover subscriptions, and a travel concierge.

Questions people ask

Where does the brief get its material?

Only the channels you approve — Slack, calendar, and meeting notes. Each item keeps a source link.

Does it triage my email too?

No. A morning brief is a separate job from inbox cleanup; the starter prompt explicitly tells it not to triage email, draft replies, send messages, or change meetings.

How does it decide what to include?

It filters to items that map to the priorities you give it, and for each one states the source, why it matters, the proposed next step, and whether you owe a decision.
