I created a finance Grok @Bot and have been exploring the best way to feed banking and credit card info to it so that it can monitor spend, balances, payment dates etc. There are lots of paid apps that have OAuth, but they are often ~$20/m and just sit on top of Plaid or the MX network. The cheapest legit one I've found is http://simpleFin.org, which connects directly using the MX network, similar to Plaid. You can just connect your accounts, and then it has access to pretty much everything I need. It costs $1.50 a month, which I suppose isn't too bad. Grok Bot can spin up its own server every time it needs to pull the data, so you don't need to worry about that. If anyone comes across a truly free and secure option, please do let me know. It's pretty powerful just to ask it to analyze spend or a particular type of spend across institutions, and it just responds with the answer. Good bot.
