Grok Bot is the new AI assistant from the team at Cursor + SpaceX (they're calling it SpaceXai). It's surprisingly useful and easy for non-technical people to use, and it can do a whole heck of a lot more than Claude and ChatGPT with little to no setup. Here are actual things that Grok Bot did for me this week (almost completely independently): - Looked through back to school emails and made sure I was prepared with everything that needed to be done for multiple kids. Mental load unlock: 100% I would've forgotten to pack a space change of clothes for my kindergartner on her first day. - Found 3 gift cards I somehow forgot to use from the last year. Oh right, I DID buy 2 Gap gift cards from Costco on black friday! Duh. Mental load unlock: Cha-ching! That's $150 in my pocket. - Scheduled multiple appointments for me. I've been putting off my annual physical exam because who has time to call the doctor. Grok Bot looked up options, pinged me with 3 dates/times, then booked it (I just had to confirm Zocdoc on the last step). It created a calendar reminder! Mental load unlock: Moms, we often put off our own health/wellbeing. Finally! AI can help. I also had it schedule a hair appt and massage for later this month. Let's go AI! - Listed a Facebook Marketplace item and is managing the sale. I had purchased a wagon for my kids years ago that's been collecting dust. Grok Bot found the old listing, used the photos, and asked me what $$ I want to list at. It's going to manage the rest (wish me luck here). Mental load unlock: Who has time to sell their old crap? I sure don't. But AI has infinite time. Notice, none of these are work examples. I will do those in a separate thread. All of these things are being done in the background, and I'm only being asked to approve or provide the AI direction. Don't be intimidated! Grok Bot is $300/month, which sounded expensive to me yesterday. Grok Bot - had the CityPlanner continue building out the new city. It created master plan and then blocks, lots, ROW layers using best practices from ArcGIS. I've found the Grok models are really strong with spatial reasoning so that can go in and create, update and analyze entire feature layers (given the right base tools) CityPlanner - "Two parallel products: a community master plan under NRS 278.160 (not a County plan rewrite), and a parcel fabric cut from the street frame. I’ll pull the live counts so the numbers match the map. Master plan is a site community plan, not a replacement of Transform Clark County. It’s written to NRS 278.160 (a)–(i), then drawn as three polygon services under the Master plan folder. Neighborhoods and phasing are snapped to the street frame; plan structure is live zoning dissolved into Employment / Town Center / Neighborhoods / OS / Civic / School — not a second district map. It picks the ones everyone else prices lazily. 46 markets settled. 30 won, 16 lost. 65% hit rate, profit factor 2.39, average hold 4.2 days. The edge has a name on the screen and it is mispriced tails. Not "Bitcoin goes up". Things the crowd rounds to zero and gets wrong. TikTok banned before 2027. An AI model taking IMO gold. Powell out as Fed Chair. 10 positions open right now, $45,440 staked across politics, macro, crypto, equity, tech, sports and science. Nothing bigger than $7,150. It never uses leverage. On day 13 it staked $886 on a quarter Kelly and wrote "no leverage" in its own log like it was reminding itself. Day 14 at 5.44 AM the drawdown hit 9.2% and the bot halved its own stake for 6 hours without asking me. Profile: The stable identity, loaded into the prompt every turn. The one place a stray "maybe" or an old product line should never sneak into. 2. Log: Dated history, one line per event. What happened, not who the bot is. 3. Note: This week's blocker or pending item. Drops off the always-visible list once it's ranked low, but stays on disk until you Forget it. Here's the exact block: "PROFILE MEMORY Write to own profile only when the fact is stable and needed every turn. Test: if forgotten tomorrow, this agent does the job wrong every day. Else do not write profile. Profile scope: [lane coordinates] + [rules they mark stable]. Nothing else. If unsure, do not write profile. If it reads like a diary, it is log.
