Grok Bot platforms
Grok Bot runs on macOS and iOS since its Aug 11, 2026 launch, with Windows and Linux desktop clients added Aug 21, 2026 (Linux briefly went missing before returning). Android is reported but not confirmed generally available, and there's no official web app — only bridges and self-hosted clones fill that gap today. Last verified 2026-08-31.

Every platform, one line
- macOSAvailable
Install the macOS desktop app from Cursor's Grok Bot onboarding page and sign in with your existing Cursor account to create your first Bot. macOS was one of the two platforms (with iOS) in the Aug 11, 2026 beta launch.
- iOSAvailable
Download the official Grok Bot app from the App Store. It's a companion for messaging Bots and approving actions — the Bot itself keeps running on your macOS/Windows/Linux cloud computer, not on the phone.
- WindowsAvailable
Install the Windows desktop client the same way as macOS, via Cursor's Grok Bot onboarding, then sign in with your Cursor account. Windows joined the desktop lineup on Aug 21, 2026, after the Aug 11 launch shipped Mac and iOS only.
- LinuxAvailable
Official Linux builds (0.30.0 and later) are distributed as AppImage/.deb/.rpm from the Cursor CDN rather than through a dedicated docs page. It's the same client that shipped alongside Windows on Aug 21, 2026, later went missing from the platform lineup, and a community report says it returned around Aug 30, 2026.
- AndroidReported, unconfirmed
There's no confirmed general-availability Android app yet. The Google Play listing (ai.x.grok.bot) started showing an Install button around Aug 29, 2026, but Cursor's own help docs still described Grok Bot as iOS-only at the same time — treat Android as reported, not available, until the two sources agree.
- WebNot available
There's no browser-based way to run or chat with your own Grok Bot. xAI's launch materials and FAQ name desktop (macOS, later Windows/Linux) and iOS as the only clients — install one of those instead.
Every status carries its source; rows marked unverified are reported but not yet tied to an official, dated announcement. Unofficial community project — not affiliated with xAI, X, or Cursor.
